Ease the Burden – Find the Cure
I have recently sponsored a fundraiser for the American Parkinson Disease Association. My wife is on the board for APDA and my father-in-law suffered from Parkinson’s.
PD is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system and has affected more than one million people in the U.S. Caused by degeneration of pigmented neurons in the brain decreasing dopamine, PD is characterized by:
- spontaneous movements
- gait difficulty
- postural instability
- tremor
Anyone can be affected and the incidence is higher among the 60+ age group.

The event will be in the Algonquin Golf Club in Glendale, MO. on Monday, May 19th.
