All terrain vehicles, or ATVs, are go anywhere type craft used by thousand. The vehicles can be dangerous, however. There are hundreds of injuries related to ATV riding each year.
After investigating 50 incidents of injury with the Yamaha Rhino, 46 of which involved deaths, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Yamaha announced a free repair. This fix is designed to help stop the Model 450, 660 and 700 Rhinos from rolling over.
Yamaha has also agreed to voluntarily suspend sale of these models immediately until repaired. Consumers should immediately stop using these popular recreational vehicles until the repair is installed by a dealer. Over 120,000 Rhinos have been sold to the public, and hundreds of injuries have been reported.
