Michael Korte, of Farris Korte Law, has been invited to lecture at the 26th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the Missouri Self-Insurers Association (MSIA), to be held September 20-22, 2015, at the Chateau on The Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center, in Branson, MO.
Korte will be co-presenting with Michael F. Banahan of Evans and Dixon, LLC on September 21 on “What Is The Impact The MO Labor & Industrial Relations Commission Is Having On Appeals.”
This will be Korte’s third lecture at an annual MSIA conference, having previously spoken in 2006 on “Case Law Update” and again in 2008 on “Surveillance.”
“I am honored to be asked to speak again to MSIA on an important workers’ compensation issue,” said Korte. “A better understanding of which work comp appeals have a better chance at success and which ones do not can only help all stakeholders in Missouri’s workman’s compensation system.”
MSIA is one of the state’s largest employers’ trade associations. It focuses on the workers’ comp interests of its members, which includes employers who elect to insure their workers’ comp liability themselves, rather than purchase work comp insurance to protect their liabilities according to The Missouri Workers’ Compensation Law.
